Kosovo’s new Government firm on dismissing “inept boards” of state-owned companies

The new Government of Kosovo dismissed on Wednesday the Board of the publicly-owned enterprise Telecom due to poor performance. Minister of Finances, Besnik Bislimi, said they will continue fighting “inept boards” of state companies, pledging the new Government will transform these companies from a burden to state budget into contributors of country’s economic growth.

Bislimi also said the new Government will review some of the capital projects drafted by former Government of Ramush Haradinaj. “With the new measures we aim at eliminating nepotism, as well as fighting incompetent boards. We think publicly-owned enterprises should be transformed into a tool of promoting economic growth of the country rather than being burden to the state budget,” Bislimi said. /GazetaExpress/
