Kosovo lawmakers voted early Thursday to dissolve the Parliament, paving the way for a snap election. Parties agreed to disband sixth legislature after prime minister Ramush Haradinaj resigned last month following a call from Hague prosecutors to be questioned as a suspect on his role as wartime commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Support to dissolve the Parliament was overwhelming, with 89 lawmakers of both ruling and opposition voting in favour of it, one against and two abstaining. After dissolution of Parliament, authorities will be required to organise an election within 45 days. President of Kosovo hashim Thaci is expected to decree the election date. /GazetaExpress/
