Kosovo’s outgoing minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, is optimistic the European Union will soon liberalise visas for Kosovars.
Pacolli who is leader of the Alliance New Kosova (AKR), attending an election rally in Prizren stated that visas will be lifted in coming months. He said that this was confirmed during a meeting with the Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavistowho visited Kosovo on Monday. “I am convinced that visa liberalisationwill happen in coming months, you will be equal with young people of the region, you will travel freely,” Pacolli told his supporters. “Today (Monday), I had a meeting with the Finnish Foreign Minister and in a way this was confirmed, but visa liberalisation will happen, the EU will finally fulfil its obligation towards Kosovo,” Pacolli said. Pacolli made the statements attending a rally as the campaign for 6 October election is ongoing. /GazetaExpress/
