Kosovo Speaker Vjosa Osmani wants internationals involvement in vetting process

Speaker of Parliament, Vjosa Osmani, says she will support vetting in judiciary, and said that internationals should be involved in this process, Gazeta Express reports. Speaker Osmani made the comments during a meeting with the Swedish Ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Hernmarck Ahliny.

According to a statement issued by Parliament’s Press Service, Osmani thanked Ambassador Hernmarck Ahliny on continues support that Sweden gave Kosovo, emphasising Sweden’s role in offering aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Main topic of discussion was the initiative on vetting in judiciary with Osmani stating that internationals should help this process. “Osmani emphasised the importance of functional review of judiciary, including the vetting process. Further, the Speaker said that in cooperation with local and international partners, she will support any initiative on vetting in judiciary,” the statement reads. /GazetaExpress/
