Kosovo-Serbia dialogue to end with mutual recognition under current borders, says minister Reka

Kosovo’s caretaker minister of European Integration, Blerim Reka, attended Tuesday the online debate of Columbia University dubbed “The Future of Europe” moderated by Prof. Dr. David Philips of the Columbia University from New York, and with opening remarks of Dr. Daniel Serwer from the John Hopkins University. According to a press statement of Reka’s Office, the debate was attended also by Speaker of Kosovo Parliament, Vjosa Osmani, and former prime minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj.

Reka in his addressing among other things said the future of Kosovo is with the Euro-Atlantic structures. “The future of Kosovo is part of Western civilization, as a republic based on the rule of law, a country with borders protected by its Constitution and good governance,” Reka said according to the press release.

Talking on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Reka said that the dialogue should not be as it was in the past with “asymmetric negotiations” adding that resumption of the dialogue should be between two equal states, and should be concluded with mutual recognition under current borders. /Gazeta Express/
