Kosovo, Serbia delegations to meet Thursday in Brussels for new round of talks, media report

Radio Free Europe quoting diplomatic sources in Brussels is reporting that Kosovo and Serbia technical teams will meet Thursday in Brussels as part of the EU-facilitated dialogue.

Sources told RFE that parties are expected to discuss on financial claims and property issues. Kosovo will be represented by the State Coordinator on Dialogue, Skender Hyseni, whereas Serbia by Marko Djuric, who until recently served as director of Serbian Government Office for Kosovo.

The meeting will be held by fully respecting tight COVID-19 measures introduced by authorities in Belgium, as well as the EU institutions, to prevent further spread of coronavirus.

The dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia resumed during the summer and several meetings were held ever since, including high level meetings of Kosovo prime minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic as well as experts level meetings. But the dialogue was halted in September after Kosovo is refusing to renegotiate an agreement on establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities as requested by Serbian side. To prepare the new meetings last week the EU Special Representative on Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, visited both Pristina and Belgrade. /GazetaExpress/
