Kosovo records four more coronavirus deaths overnight as death toll raises to 70

Kosovo has recorded four new coronavirus deaths overnight, taking the total number of people who have died in hospitals with the virus to 70.

The record number of deaths from COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, six on Saturday and four others on Sunday has mobilized health and law enforcement authorities. The Kosovo Police was seen on Sunday morning at the Clinics of Infectious Diseases of Pristina to prevent entrance of unauthorized people, whereas health authorities have announced that all victims will be sent for autopsy. An official of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo said that all COVID-19 victims were over 60 and had other underlying conditions.

According to the data of the National Institute of Public Health 3.356 people have been infected with the virus in Kosovo, and 1.874 out of them have been recovered.
