Kosovo president, Hashim Thaci has commented the work of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers based at the Hague and questioning of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) members.

Thaci in an interview with T7 talk show Pressing said that he was not summoned by the Hague prosecutors who are dealing with alleged crimes committed by the KLA. “I am not questioned. But it is normal if I receive a summons,” Thaci stated who during 1998-1999 Kosovo war was political representative of the KLA.

Thaci said that he is ready to answer potential summons of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers “as all other follow fighters did.” Asked whether he would resign if summoned by the Hague-based prosecutors, Thaci has denied such a scenario. He said that he would not follow the example of former Kosovo prime minister and ex-KLA commander, Ramush Haraidnaj, who in July 2018 resigned as country’s prime minister after he was summoned by the special court based at the Hague. “I am not even thinking of that, why I should resign? Questioning is a normal procedure,” Thaci stated. /GazetaExpress/
