Kosovo Police halts driver depicting Putin’s image in his tanker truck

Kosovo Police have halted on Saturday a driver after he was seen roaming streets of Kosovo town of Peja with an oil tanker depicting phots of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The police spokesperson for the Peja region confirmed the news to T7 broadcaster saying the two drivers were escorted to the local police station for questioning after reports from local residents.

“On Saturday afternoon we have stopped two oil tankers, one of them was depicting the photo of Russian President, Vladimir Putin, whereas the other a photo of a Serbian writer, Vuk Karadzic. Both drivers have been escorted to the police station in Peja for questioning. The prosecutor on duty has been informed of the case. The tankers are with Serbian plates,” a Kosovo Police spokesperson told T7. Citizens of Peja saw the presence of Serbian oil tankers with Putin’s photo as provocation. /GazetaExpress/
