Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti after meeting ambassadors of QUINT told media that he will call an urgent meeting of the Assembly on Saturday at 14:00hrs, Gazeta Express reports.

“We just had a meeting with Ambassadors of QUINT and Head of EU Office. The meeting was attended by President Vjosa Osmani, Speaker Glauk Konjufca, and myself as Prime Minister and two of my deputies Besnik Bislimi and Donika Gervalla. The three institutions will issue a joint press release and afterwards I can answer your questions. In meantime I am going to Prime Minister’s Office to prepare for calling an urgent meeting of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for tomorrow (Saturday) at 14:00,” Kurti said.

Ambassadors of QUINT (France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States) issued a press release Friday urging the Government of Kosovo to enable Serbs exercise their right to vote in Serbia’s referendum on constitutional changes set to be held this Sunday, Gazeta Express reports.

Following the press release representatives of QUINT and Head of the EU Office in Kosovo met with Kosovo institutional leaders, President Osmani, PM Kurti, and Speaker Konjufca to discuss this issue. The Government of Kosovo is opposing organising of Serbia’s referendum in Kosovo, stating that Kosovo Serbs with dual citizenship are free to vote by mail or at Belgrade’s Liaison Office in Pristina. /GazetaExpress/
