Kadri Veseli’s questioning before the Hague based Special prosecutor’s Office (SPO) has been postponed until 10 December, his advisor, Valmir Klaiqi, confirmed to Gazeta Express.

The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and former senior commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), was due to be questioned on his wartime role before the Hague prosecutors on 4 December but he is now due to appear at a later date before international prosecutors, investigating alleged crimes committed by the KLA.

Veseli was summoned on 7 November to be questioned by the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office and in a statement published last month he said that he would answer the call to be interviewed by the prosecutors.

In July the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office summoned also outgoing prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, who offered his resignation as prime minister of Kosovo after being summoned for questioning in his capacity as a suspect. From the beginning of this year the SPO has summoned dozens of ex-KLA members, either as suspects or witnesses. But no indictment has been filed yet. /GazetaExpress/
