Members of Kosovo Parliament on Friday approved a draft law designed to help authorities to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
With 77 votes in favour and one against, MPs voted in principle the Draft Law on prevention and fighting of COVID-19 pandemic.
The Draft Law sponsored by Speaker of Parliament, Vjosa Osmani, was approved with 77 votes in favour and one vote against. Speaker Osmani said the Draft Law is aimed at protection of public health. The proposed Draft Law has only six articles, stating that the “purpose of this law is to create necessary legal frame for authorities to prevent and fight the coronavirus pandemic.”
Kosovo saw Friday a decrease of new COVID-19 infections. According to the daily bulletin of the National Institute of Public Health, three people died in the last 24 hours, bringing death toll to 303. The official data show that 181 people have been tested positive with coronavirus bringing country’s total to 9.869. /GazetaExpress/
