The Kosovo Police have arrested a judge of the Basic Court in Peja, Sali Berisha, for allegedly soliciting for a bribe in a case he was presiding over. The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo asked for a 30-days detention on remand for Berisha, who was arrested Thursday suspected of criminal charge misuse of official duty or authority.
Prosecutor of the case, Blerim Isufaj, told online platform dealing with judiciary Betimi per Drejtesi that he has proposed the judge Berisha be put under detention on remand. The Kosovo Police allegedly caught judge Berisha red-handed receiving bribe after the police intercepted the judge who received a certain amount of money from a defendant to decide in his favour during the trial. /GazetaExpress/
