Kosovo Govt promises establishing a fund to assist people affected by floods
Kosovo’s acting prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, said the
Government will establish an emergency fund to assist people affected by floods
in several cities of Kosovo.
“We will establish an emergency response fund to help
families affected by floods,” Hoti said after visiting the municipality of
Drenas one of the affected areas by floods caused by heavy rains and snow.
Acting minister of Defence, Anton Quni, said the
Kosovo Security Force (KSF) specialised units have intervened in several
regions to help citizens. “We have evacuated people in the Gjakova area, Fushe
Kosove, Kline and other locations. We have helped the medical authorities and
we sent a team to assess the situation in the Vushtrri area,” Quni said. /GazetaExpress/
