Former members of Kosovo Parliament, Shkumbin Demaliaj and Milaim Zeka, have been indicted on Thursday suspected of intimidating state prosecutors.
Member of Parliament Shkumbin Demaliaj representing Ramush Haradinaj’s party – Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has been indicted of threatening prosecutor Elez Blakaj, who resigned last year after saying he received threats while investigating fraud in the verification of Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war veterans. Demaliaj was member of the Government’s Commission on verification of the KLA’s veterans’ status. According to online media Betimi per Drejtesi, also the other MP Milaim Zeka has been indicted on the same charges for threatening prosecutor Afrim Shefkiu after the latter indicted Zeka of being part of an organised group over an alleged scam concerning German visa. The news has been confirmed by the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina. /GazetaExpress/
