Kosovo prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, who is in Germany to attend the Western Balkans Summit in Berlin which will be held today, said that he is grateful to Germany for their principled position on the issue of borders of Kosovo.
Haradinaj made the statements during meeting Kosovo Ambassador to Germany, Beqe Cufaj. “To me the Summit is of great importance because of the principled position of Germany on borders. I am grateful to the German chancellor Angela Merkel for her position on this issue,” Haradinaj said. Haradinaj said he needs Germany’s support in order not to harm Kosovo’s interests. “Germany is a country which is defending interests not harming Kosovo and we are very thankful. We have many challenges and difficulties but Kosovo is committed to move forward. I believe this Summit will help us consolidate,” Haradinaj said.
Kosovo prime minister Haradinaj is opposing to the idea of change of borders promoted by the president HashimThaci and supported also by the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, who is facilitating Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. Germany is opposing any idea of the change of borders in Balkans. At the initiative of chancellor Merkel and French president Emmanuel Macron today in Berlin will be held the summit of the Western Balkan countries where Kosovo issue is one of the main highlights. /GazetaExpress/
