Ex-Kosovo Liberation Army spokesperson summoned by Hague prosecutors
Jakup Krasniqi, ex-Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) spokesperson and former Speaker of Kosovo Parliament is the next guerrilla senior member to be summoned by the Hague-based Specialist Prosecutor’s Office, established to investigate and prosecute alleged crimes of the KLA.

Specialist Prosecutor’s Office to be questioned for his role during 1998-1999
war in Kosovo. Krasniqi has not revealed in which capacity he has been summoned
by international prosecutors.

offered his resignation after he was also summoned by international
prosecutors. Also on Friday other ex-KLA members, including an advisor to Kosovo
president Hashim Thaci confirmed receiving summons from the Hague war crimes
court. Krasniqi, who was the first spokesperson of the KLA in 1998, confirmed
that he was summoned to appear before the Hague prosecutors on 24 July.
