Former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander, Nehat Basha, has been summoned for questioning by the Hague-based Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO). The news has been confirmed by the Head of the Association of KLA Veterans, Hysni Gucati.
In a Facebook post Gucati wrote that ex-KLA commander of the Brigade 125 operating in Pashtrik region during 1998-1999 war in Kosovo, has been summoned by the Hague prosecutors. “I just received the news that ex-KLA commander, Nehat Basha, has been summoned by the special court,” Gucati said adding that Basha, as other KLA members, will prove the KLA war was just. Over 100 ex-KLA members and civilians have been summoned for questioning by the Hague prosecutors. The Parliament of Kosovo voted in 2015 to establish the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office to investigate and try alleged crimes committed by the KLA during and after the war in Kosovo in 1998-2000. /GazetaExpress/
