EU observers say Kosovo parties lack financial transparency during campaign

Kosovo Parliament Speaker, Glauk Konjufca, hosted on Wednesday Viola von Cramon-Taubadel, Chief Observer of the EU Election Observation Mission, who handed to the Parliament the final report of the mission on findings and recommendations of the early elections held on6 October 2019, the Parliament of Kosovo said in a statement.   

Speaker Konjufca thanked the EU Observation Mission for their contribution in regularity of elections, adding that the organization of elections in Kosovo was satisfactory, which was confirmed after all parties running in elections accepted the results. Chief observer, Von Cramon-Taubadel, said that considering tight deadlines, early elections were democratic, and well-organized. She said Central Elections Commission (CEC) has done a good job, by preparing all the election materials for the early parliamentary elections. Von Cramon-Taubadel said however that one of the shortcomings remains lack of financial transparency of political entities during the election campaign, the Parliament of Kosovo said in a statement. /GazetaExpress/
