EP Rapporteur Von Cramon hopes lifting of tariffs would help Kosovo get visa liberalisation

Member of the European Parliament and standing Rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, is hoping that the Council of the European Union will take into consideration the decision of the Kosovo’s caretaker government to drop tariffs on Serbian goods, and give Kosovo green light to get visa liberalisation, Gazeta Express reports.

Von Cramon wrote in Twitter that Kosovo’s caretaker prime minister Albin Kurti to drop tariffs is an important signal for economic and political cooperation in the region. “Congratulations to the Kosova government and its acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti for lifting tariffs. Very important signal for economic development and political cooperation in the region. Hope it will be appreciated EU Council give green light to visa liberalisation for Kosovo,” Von Cramon wrote in Twitter. As of today, the Government has decided to drop 100 percent tariffs on Serbian imports and start with gradual reciprocal measures. /GazetaExpress/
