Kosovo records 585 new COVID-19 cases Friday

Kosovo reported Friday 585 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily tally in 2022. Despite surge of new cases the hospitalizations remain low. The National Institute of Public health in its daily update said that currently there are 3,339 active COVID-19 cases in Kosovo.

The Ministry of Health, according to data from the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, informs as follows: 3,830 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given in the last 24 hours. 1,708.466 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered since the vaccination started.

To date,  citizens 794,496 have been vaccinated with the second dose. To date, 27,183 booster doses and 2,147 third doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given. Of 6,589 tests made, 585   citizens tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. No new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of active cases is 3.339. /GazetaExpress/
