Kosovo and Japan will hold a joint economic conference

Kosovo prime minister Avdullah Hoti on Monday received in a meeting Japan non-resident Ambassador to Kosovo, Akira Mizutani when they discussed on recent developments and bilateral relations.  

The Prime Minister’s Office said PM Hoti and Ambassador Mizutani agreed to organise soon a virtual economic conference between Japan and Kosovo. Kosovo Government statement says that Ambassador Mizutani stressed Japan’s support for the current processes in Kosovo, with special emphasis on supporting the management and prevention of the pandemic, such as the supply of protective masks, through UNICEF, worth 640,000 euros, as well as the provision of antiviral therapy from Japan for 100 patients, worth 810,000 euros. “Japan is committed to supporting the Government of Kosovo for economic recovery,” said Ambassador Mizutani.

Prime Minister Hoti informed Ambassador Mizutani on priorities of the Government of Kosovo, the commitment to economic recovery after COVID-19 pandemic, the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia, which should result in mutual recognition, and the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the Republic of Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
