Infant tests positive for coronavirus in Kosovo

An infant has tested positive for COVID-19, but is at home recovering from the virus, Kosovo health officials say. The National Institute of Public Health announced Thursday that another man was tested positive with coronavirus bringing total to 126, Gazeta Express reports.   

A five months baby was tested positive with COVID-19 on Wednesday, becoming the youngest person with the virus in Kosovo. Doctors told media on Thursday that the toddler and his mother who was also tested positive have been admitted to the hospital and are in stable health condition.

Kosovo’s National Institute of Public Health said in a statement that they have tested Thursday 118 samples tracing already confirmed cases. Out of all cases only one patient from Prizren was tested positive bringing total number to 126. Infectologist Salih Ahmeti told media on Thursday that currently they are treating 43 patients with COVID-19, adding that two of them are in critical condition. /GazetaExpress/
