You have seen in many royal palaces that the entrance gates are very high. Do you know why? Because every person who enters there, no matter how much power they enjoy, how much executive power they have, when they approach that door, they feel small. Any attempt to compare themselves with the leaders of the KLA will just look ridiculous.
Russia: Sedat Sahitaj
Wars are never good, because wars always bring death, violence and destruction. Since antiquity, the founder of history, Herodotus himself, has described the consequences of wars better than anyone else: “In peace, sons bury their fathers, in war, fathers bury their sons.” But, alas, liberation wars are sacred, just like freedom itself. Therefore, the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army is sacred from any angle you look at it.
The Kosovo Liberation Army is not the result of one generation, but is the culmination of the efforts of several generations, it has come naturally from the deepest depths of our national history. Without wanting to engage in historical analysis, since the Albanian League of Prizren we can say that the idea of an organization in the format of the KLA has existed.
Therefore, the Kosovo Liberation Army is our national value.
What's surprising?!
In no war, regardless of the nature of the war, does the entire population get involved in the war, this is completely normal. However, it is not normal to have hatred towards a liberation army. There have been hundreds of wars in world history. Of these wars, there are those that are of an occupying, liberation character, there are those that have been extremely fierce and genocidal in nature, there are cases of wars that have lasted 100 years, there are those that have lasted a few hours, etc. But you cannot find a single case anywhere in the world where a liberation war has been criticized more than the Kosovo Liberation Army War, this is from within. Such a thing is also contrary to the laws of nature. Because no creature eats its own offspring, and the KLA is the offspring of the people themselves. There are many wars that are well known to have been unjust, for example, we are only bringing some that took place after the Second World War 1939-1945, such as the US War in Vietnam, the Russian War in Afghanistan, the French War in Algeria, etc., but you cannot find in these countries any organized war against their country's war, as has happened in our country for more than two decades now. Have you seen what respect the veterans of the Vietnam War enjoy in America. Or does it seem too far away in comparison, okay, to the neighboring country, Serbia. Is there hatred in Serbia against those who fought the war in Kosovo? Not at all, are there organizations from different social classes against the war the Serbian state waged in Kosovo? - No. Even though the entire democratic world has considered Serbia's war against Kosovo as a crime against humanity and Slobodan Milosevic as a war criminal, they protect and honor them with the greatest pride.
But it is not the same for the Kosovo Liberation Army War. In post-war Kosovo, the KLA and its protagonists were fought in all forms. We have dozens of books that have been written against this war (not even close to as many books have been written about Serbian crimes in Kosovo). There are written and visual media that have been engaged in and continue to wage war against the KLA war for two decades. There are dozens of television shows that have had the objective of degrading the KLA war. A black humor has also developed towards the KLA war, towards its protagonists, and even towards the martyrs. So, the KLA war has been despised in all forms.
Before presenting the sources of hatred towards the KLA, it should be noted at the outset that it is not true at all that hatred towards the KLA has started since 2007 until now. Because it is an indisputable fact that hatred towards the KLA has been evident since June 1999, with that dirty propaganda “KLA, ZANE”, both in Pristina and in many large cities. Or it has existed since the time when the KLA was still in its infancy. It is not easy to explain why such hatred towards an army that has brought freedom that has never existed in these lands. It is not easy to explain the war against one of the most successful liberation armies in Europe. This is not only due to the fact that it achieved its main objective, the liberation of the country, but also due to the fact that it managed to create alliances with the most important democratic states in the world, and achieved close cooperation with the most powerful military organization in the world, such as NATO. The diplomatic ability of a newly created army such as the KLA has led to its admiration by many scholars. It is precisely this alliance between the KLA and NATO that has made possible the final liberation of Kosovo.
Why this hatred towards the KLA?!
This has an explanation in several aspects. First, Kosovo's position as an integral part of the former Yugoslavia for 50 years, 1945-1999. Although it is not said openly, during this period there was a kind of acculturation in some areas and in some social classes. These classes were privileged during the time of the former Yugoslavia, (there are many of the latter who have sentenced members of the illegal organization with draconian sentences, have differentiated, anathematized and stigmatized their families, who later were protagonists of the KLA). And from here the war against the KLA began. Because they considered it a disruption of their comfort.
Second, from those who were not part of the war, and who start from the prism that if you are not part of a process, you must oppose it in all forms, the latter also try to fill the national deficit.
Third, given the fact that a large number of the population was not directly involved in the war, various politicians noticed that the war against the KLA is fertile territory, which will bring any other cause to power much faster. A few days ago we had the occasion when the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo congratulated the Liberation Day of Kosovo, without even mentioning the KLA once. Can such a thing happen in a normal state, to insult an army that has brought freedom, and by whom from the foreign trowel (we will talk about this on another occasion).
Then there are individuals who work in scientific and cultural institutions, who are paid by citizens' taxes, who have written and propagated against the KLA war.
All this propaganda reached the point where people felt ashamed of having been part of the KLA.
There are those who say that there is a war against the KLA war, they attribute it to the protagonists of the KLA, not against the war. But this is not true in any respect. The war or the KLA itself is abstract in itself, people give it meaning, especially its leaders.
Another angle that can be seen as the source of the hatred of many public individuals towards the protagonists of the KLA war is the fact that they feel small towards the contribution and historical role of the KLA leaders. This is truly ridiculous. Because no one can be compared to those who have been protagonists of the war, and of the most important processes of the country. Even if we take this as a coincidence, or as leaders of their fate parallel to the fate of their people. Everyone must understand one thing, for certain reasons they try to compare themselves with the KLA leaders. England has had many prime ministers, but the one who is remembered most is Winston Churchill, or France has had dozens of presidents, but the one who is remembered by everyone is De Gaulle. Because they led the war against Nazism. So any attempt to compare oneself with the KLA leaders is futile.
You have seen in many royal palaces that the entrance gates are very high. Do you know why? Because every person who enters there, no matter how much power they enjoy, how much executive power they have, when they approach that door, they feel small. Any attempt to compare themselves with the leaders of the KLA will only look ridiculous.
Long live history, it shows the place of each and every one of you!
