The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan has announced that today the police have interviewed several suspects for manipulating the results. This concerns the municipality of Viti, since according to the prosecution in this municipality there were many changes in the results after the recount.
The prosecution says interviews are continuing.
"On 03.02.2026, we authorized the police to interview suspects, initially in the Municipality of Viti, since in this municipality there was a greater change in the result according to the recount, compared to the municipalities of Gjilan, Kamenica, Novo Brdo, Ranilug, Partesh, for which the interviews of suspects are still continuing."
The prosecution adds that in the Gjilan region, no significant difference in votes was observed, only one candidate has minus 145 votes after the recount.
It is further stated that the prosecution will continue with investigations in regular procedure until all suspects in all municipalities have been interviewed.
"We inform you that in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan, there is no significant difference from the previously published result compared to the result after the recount of votes (it is worth noting that only one candidate results with -145 votes after the recount and all others are below this figure) as has resulted in other municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, therefore the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan will continue with investigations in regular procedure, until all suspects in all municipalities are interviewed, unless any other circumstances arise."
