The ruling VMRO-DPMNE party accused SDSM of being behind the organization and logistics of the protest announced today by the League of Trade Unions of Macedonia.
The party claims that it has evidence that people close to SDSM are behind the mobilization of people and the organization of transportation in several cities.
According to them, the protest was formally organized by LSM, but the logistics and technical organization, as they claim, are run by structures close to SDSM.
They point to Kumanovo as an example, where, according to them, Oliver Trajkovski was responsible for organizing transportation for the protest, who, as they state, is the head of the SDSM headquarters in the Zelen Rid neighborhood and an employee of the public enterprise "Cleaning and Greening" in Kumanovo.
VMRO-DPMNE states that photographs from previous political activities confirm his closeness to SDSM officials and candidates in the 2021 local elections.
The party believes that instead of a real union struggle to improve workers' rights and wages, the protest is being used as a tool of political pressure.
