A serious incident shook Gjakova this morning, where as a result of gunfire, one person was killed and another was injured.
The incident occurred at around 05:20 on "Vëllezërit Frashëri" street, while according to initial information, the victim is RB, around 38 years old, who was found without signs of life at the scene.
Meanwhile, E. M., aged around 29, was also injured in the shooting, suffering a chest wound and has been sent for medical treatment. According to sources, his life is out of danger.
The suspect in the case is N. Z., the owner of the "My Place" bar, who after the incident left the scene in an unknown direction and is currently being sought by the police.
Five firearm casings, as well as a sharp instrument (knife), were found and seized at the scene.
All relevant police units have arrived at the scene, including the Chief State Prosecutor, the police station commander, the Regional Investigation Unit and the Regional Forensic Science Unit, which have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances.
By order of the Prosecutor in Charge of Serious Crimes, the case was initiated as "Aggravated Murder", while the victim's body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
Police are searching for the suspect and investigations into this incident are ongoing.
