Activist and former political prisoner Drita Kuqi has died. Nasim Haradinaj also wrote about her death, describing Kuqi as a devoted activist and collaborator of his father, Ismail Haradinaj, within the LNÇKVSHJ.
"Her life and activities are testimony to the sacrifice of the generation that kept alive the spirit of resistance and the national ideal at a time when the word "freedom" was paid for with prison and suffering," Haradinaj wrote.

With respect and pride, we remember the devoted activist, friend and collaborator of my father Ismail Haradinaj's illegal political group within the LNÇKVSHJ, who with rare courage and dedication dedicated herself to the national cause in the most difficult times for the Albanian people.
Politically convicted in 1981 by the occupying regime, she remained stoic and indomitable in the face of persecution, imprisonment, and injustice, never retreating from the ideal of freedom, national unity, and the definitive liberation of Kosovo and other Albanian territories under Slavic occupation.
Her life and work are testimony to the sacrifice of the generation that kept alive the spirit of resistance and the national ideal at a time when the word "freedom" was paid for with imprisonment and suffering.
Eternal glory and respect for her national contribution, courage and resilience.
Rest in peace, hero of Kosovo.
