Democracy in Action has announced that its teams will be engaged tomorrow to observe the electoral process. DNV assessed that citizen participation in tomorrow's vote is essential to ensure that the management of municipalities reflects the will and interests of residents, writes Gazeta Express.

Furthermore, DNV called on political parties, including candidates and their supporters, to respect electoral rules and standards.

"We also call on the Central Election Commission to guarantee regular and transparent organization and management of the process, as well as the institutions responsible for maintaining public order and security during election day to enable a calm and safe environment, where citizens can exercise their democratic right to vote freely and without pressure," DNV said, among other things.

Finally, DNV states that elections are a key moment of public participation and democratic accountability.

Communication:

On the eve of the second round of mayoral elections, which will be held tomorrow, November 9, 2025, Democracy in Action (DnV), through several monitoring teams in municipalities, will engage in observing the electoral process to contribute to a peaceful, orderly and democratic electoral process.

The mayors elected through this process will lead the municipalities for the next four years, directly influencing the quality of life of citizens through public services, urban development, education, social welfare and development priorities in local communities. For this reason, citizen participation in voting is essential to ensure that the management of municipalities reflects the will and interests of residents.

DnV calls on political entities, their representatives, candidates and supporters in the field to respect electoral rules and standards, avoiding any form of interference or illegal influence in the voting process.

We also call on the Central Election Commission to guarantee the orderly and transparent organization and management of the process, as well as the institutions responsible for maintaining public order and security during election day to enable a calm and safe environment, where citizens can exercise their democratic right to vote freely and without pressure.

Elections constitute a key moment of public participation and democratic accountability, and the role of each citizen is important in strengthening the process and the country's institutions.
