Diogo Jota and his brother were escorted to their final residence, near the church in the town of Gondomar.
The two brothers, Diogo Jota and André Silva, are being laid to rest in the cemetery next to the church in their hometown of Gondomar - just a few metres away from where the funeral ceremony was held.
The funeral procession has begun towards the cemetery, while relatives and friends accompany the coffins of the two deceased in silence and deep sorrow.
The large crowd of attendees – family, friends, loved ones – walked slowly, leaning on each other for strength. The fans and citizens gathered outside accompanied them with heartfelt applause, as an act of respect for the lives and legacy left behind by Diogo and André.
Jota's wife was seen behind Diogo's coffin.
While the mother, father and grandfather of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva were seen heartbroken.
