A possible merger between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the GUXO List is being considered a potentially successful development by commentator and political analyst Valon Syla, who believes that such a scenario is not only desirable, but also feasible.
However, Syla expresses skepticism about whether there is a leadership willing to put aside political grudges and resentments for the sake of a greater state interest, citing the fact that the situation in Kosovo is among the most difficult the country has experienced.
"Serious and successful negotiations between LDK and Guxo for unification would completely change the game in Kosovar politics. Hatred and resentment are forgiven when there is a major interest and according to all the facts, all the conditions are met for such a unification, because Kosovo has never been worse. The only question remains, is there leadership to finalize this," Syla wrote.
In conclusion, he emphasizes that such a spirit of cooperation exists and that it should have been initiated much earlier, hinting that time may already be running out.
