The Ambassador of Albania in Skopje, Denion Meidani, has conveyed a message about the importance of the Albanian language on the eve of the protest announced by Albanian students in North Macedonia, for its protection and the conduct of exams in Albanian.

Through a post on social media, Meidani shared several verses from the poem "Gjuha Shqype" by Gjergj Fishta, emphasizing the importance of preserving national identity through language. /Panorama

In his post, the ambassador highlighted the following verses:

"So, Albanians of every religion, whatever you may be,
Gege and Toska, malt and city,
never leave my tongue,
Don't let life pass you by..."

His message comes at a time when the issue of using and respecting the Albanian language has prompted reactions and the organization of protests by Albanian students in Skopje.
