The tourism sector in Kosovo appears to be continuing its growth trend in 2026. Data for March shows that the number of hotel visitors has reached 46,649 people.

Kosovo has seen significant growth in tourism during March 2026, with thousands of local and foreign visitors choosing to spend the nights in the country's hotels.

Compared to the same period last year, the total number of visitors has increased significantly, while the majority of foreign tourists came from Albania, Germany, Turkey and Switzerland.

Data for March show that the number of visitors to hotels reached 46,649 people, marking an increase of 15.9 percent compared to March 2025, when 40,239 visitors were registered.

Of the total number of visitors, 19,180 were domestic visitors, while 27,469 were foreign visitors, which shows that the interest of foreign tourists in Kosovo continues to grow.

The number of overnight stays was also high. A total of 94,804 overnight stays were recorded in hotels during March. Of these, over 52,000 overnight stays or 55 percent were made by foreign tourists, while around 42,578 were made by domestic visitors.

"In March 2026, the number of visitors to hotels was 46,649, of which 19,180 were domestic visitors and 27,469 were foreign visitors. Compared to March 2025 (when there were 40,239 visitors), there was an increase in the total number of visitors to hotels by 15,9%. The number of overnight stays was 94,804, of which 52,226 (55.0%) were foreign visitors and 42,578 (or 44,9%) were domestic visitors."

According to statistics, the most tourists visiting Kosovo during March came from Albania, Germany, Turkey and Switzerland. These countries continue to remain the main sources of foreign visitors, reflecting family and economic ties and growing interest in tourism in Kosovo.
