Real Madrid CF are reportedly preparing an ambitious move in the summer transfer window, identifying Manchester City midfielder Rodri and Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck as top targets.

According to Spanish radio station Onda Cero, the Madrid giants have allocated around 100 million euros to attempt to transfer these two players, as part of the team's ongoing renewal process.

Real Madrid's transfer strategy continues to focus on strengthening the midfield and defense, maintaining a balance between experienced players and young talent. Rodri and Schlotterbeck are seen as players who can immediately improve the team, but also contribute to the club's long-term project.

Rodri has been one of the most influential midfielders in world football during his time at Manchester City. The Spanish midfielder has become a key element in Pep Guardiola's system, acting as the main playmaker from the back and as the team's defensive shield.

Although players like Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni already form the backbone of Real Madrid's new generation, the club is still interested in adding a typical defensive midfielder with Rodri's experience.

According to reports, Madrid believe that an offer of around 60 million euros could be enough to open negotiations with Manchester City, however convincing them to sell such an important player as Rodri would be extremely difficult.
