In the protest being held in Tirana for the Albanian language in North Macedonia, one of the students says they will not remain silent. He stated that the language is a trust and today the problem is becoming a national one.

The student from North Macedonia emphasized that they are not seeking privileges, but equality and respect.

"They told us that we are alone, that we will get tired! They were wrong! Who spoke for you, who spoke for us, they remained silent? When the day comes to choose between the chair and the mother tongue, they choose the chair! Not us, we do not remain silent. The Albanian language is our memory, the legacy left to us by generations that never bowed down. The language kept us alive when empires came and fell. The language united us when they divided us. Today they tell us that we must ask for permission to use it? No, never! We do not have a chair to protect! We only have our language! What started as a problem of colleagues in the judiciary, today is turning into a national problem. We do not ask for privileges, only equality and respect for what belongs to us. Today, we only have one message: we are one and we will remain as such! Together in every challenge, in defense of identity, language!", said one of the protesters from North Macedonia.
