Firefighting vehicles will be presented today at the "Krivollak" army range.
As announced, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski will also participate in the promotion.
Mickoski announced at the beginning of June this year that in anticipation of the predicted heat wave and increased risk of forest fires during the summer period, more than 50 vehicles that are part of the outdated and preserved equipment of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be redirected to extinguishing forest fires.
"Some of the obsolete and stored equipment, such as BTF70/80, old hermalins and similar ones, which were in the warehouses of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior, have been modernized and processed, special water tanks have been installed, pumps that work with high pressure and can enter inaccessible terrain have been purchased. What was very important for us at night when, as experts say, the fire is sleeping, was to be able to approach it and extinguish it so that it does not explode during the day. The vehicles are being prepared and very soon today you will witness a demonstration exercise, how we made something out of nothing. I expect 50-60 such vehicles to be ready with various installed volumes of water up to six tons, so I expect to welcome the prepared fires," said Mickoski, at an event to promote a new investment in the company's production capacities "Reply".
