Part of the fruit and vegetable market in Lushnje was engulfed in flames during the early hours of this Tuesday morning.
According to preliminary information, the fire has engulfed several street vendor stalls and the plastic covers of the market, which was reconstructed about three years ago.
The Lushnja fire brigade intervened in time, enabling the isolation and extinguishing of the flames.
Meanwhile, working groups from the municipality's civil emergencies are on the ground to identify and record material damage caused by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities are investigating whether it was accidental or intentional.
