In honor of the 18th anniversary of the declaration of Independence, an official parade ceremony of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and Police was held, an event that symbolizes the strength and stability of the state of Kosovo.
During this ceremony, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, remembered the sacrifices of entire generations for the freedom and independence of the country.
In her speech, President Osmani emphasized that no one can tarnish the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). She described the KLA’s war as a just and liberating war, which was guided by the right to freedom and statehood. Osmani emphasized that without the KLA’s extraordinary contribution and sacrifices, Kosovo’s independence would not be the reality that Kosovo Albanians are celebrating today.
"It was a just war, a liberation war, a defense war led by the right to freedom and statehood. Without this extraordinary contribution of the KLA and without this sacrifice, Kosovo's independence would not be the reality we celebrate today," said President Osmani.
