Speaker of Kosovo Parliament and leader of the biggest ruling party, PDK, Kadri Veseli, will hold an "urgent" meeting with state leaders to discuss tariffs on Serbian goods.
Speaker Veseli has invited in his office President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and his deputy Fatmir Limaj to discuss the 100 percent tax imposed on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. On 21 November last year the Government has introduced 100 percent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia to counter Belgrade’ aggressive campaign against Kosovo’s statehood.
Serbian authorities are conditioning resumption of Pristina-Belgrade dialogue facilitated by the European Union, with revocation of tariffs. The United States and European Union called on Kosovo institutions to suspend the tax and pave the way for dialogue. /GazetaExpress/
