Kosovo State Prosecution Office has concluded on Tuesday an investigation related to allegations that Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksander Lumezi, has falsified his jurisprudence exam. According to a press release of the State Prosecution Office there is indisputable evidence that Lumezi’s exam is not manipulated.
“There is indisputable evidence that Chief State Prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi has passed the jurisprudence exam. This is the main finding of the already closed investigation by the State Prosecution into Lumezi’s file,” it is stated in the press release. The State Prosecution Office announced that they have launched a probe after allegations of former rector of the University of Pristina, Enver Hasani, that Lumezi’s jurisprudence file is falsified. The investigations were carried out by a local prosecutor under continuous monitoring of a EULEX prosecutor, according to the press release. “Following thoroughly analysing of all information and collected evidence, as well as statements taken by officials, who at the beginning of 90s were responsible for administration of the jurisprudence exam process, and issuing of the certificate on jurisprudence exam, the Basic Prosecution Office of Pristina concluded that Mr. Hasani’s allegations are not true,” it is stated in the press release. The State Prosecution Office has also attached to the press release the file of Lumezi’s jurisprudence exam, confirming that the file is not manipulated.
The story on Lumezi’s jurisprudence exam made headlines two weeks ago after former president of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo Enver Hasani publically stated that Lumezi has never passed the jurisprudence exam and his file is manipulated.
