Kosovo’s deputy prime minister, Enver Hoxhaj, reacted to statements of an EU spokesperson who said the status of the Trepca mining complex should be resolved through dialogue with Serbia.
Hoxhaj in a Tweet said that he is shocked by the latest statements on Trepca by Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson of the European Commission. “Absolutely unacceptable to see EU officials releasing immature statements that can harm the process of dialogue with Serbia. Kosovo’s national resources will never be part of the dialogue,” Hoxhaj wrote.
Maja Kocijancic told Belgrade-based news agency Tanjug that "all open issues between the two sides need to be resolved through the finalization of the dialogue." Kocijancic reiterated that the EU expects the revocation of 100 percent tax on Serbian goods and for as quick as possible continuation of the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
