Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj expects the European Union will liberalize visas for Kosovo soon adding that the decision has nothing to do with Kosovo Government’s decision to impose tariffs on goods from Serbia countering Belgrade’s aggressive campaign against Kosovo statehood.
Haradinaj addressing media after Government’s meeting on Tuesday said he expects the EU will liberalise visas soon. “The visas are not related to the Government’s decision on imposing tax on Serbia’s goods. We expect liberalization to happen. The EU has not told us ‘no’, we have clarified this. We are making efforts for visa free-regime to happen after end of year holdiays, in a near future,” Haradinaj said.
The Prime Minister reiterated that his Government will not revoke the tax until Serbia recognizes the Republic of Kosovo. He also commented Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, and criticized the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini who facilitates the talks, for derailing the dialogue process. According to Haradinaj current path of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue facilitated by Mogherini risks the EU investment on normalization of relations between the two countries. /GazetaExpress/
