Kosovo has opened its embassy in Portugal, Foreign Ministry confirmed in a press release.

“On Thursday, with an official ceremony from the hosting country, has been officially accredited the first Kosovo Ambassador to Portugal, Ylber Kryeziu, who handed over credential letters to the Portuguese President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa,” Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry announced. On this occasion Minister Kryeziu, told Portuguese President that Kosovo is committed to deepen cooperation and strengthening mutual relations. Portugal recognised Kosovo a few months after declaration of independence in February 2008.
