EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, confirmed Wednesday that Kosovo has fulfilled all visa liberalization benchmarks.
During the conference “EU policy on visas” Avramopoulos, urged Kosovo to do more on fighting organized crime and corruption. “I can confirm that Kosovo has fulfilled visa liberalization benchmarks. After vote of the European Parliament now it is with the EU member countries to decide,” Avramopoulos said.
The EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, is expected to meet today in Brussels leaders of the Western Balkans, including presidents Hashim Thaci of Kosovo and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia.
