Kosovo Customs opens its offices at Albania’s port of Durres GazetaExpress

The Kosovo Customs is set to open its offices at the Albania’s port of Durres on Tuesday marking another important step towards closer economic cooperation between the two countries.

Opening of the Kosovo Customs office in Durres will facilitate movement of goods and people. At the same time, it will reduce the costs for Kosovo businesses and will boost economic exchange between Kosovo and Albania.

In 2009, a year after Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia, the former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that the Shengjin port, located near the town of Lezha, in northern Albania, would belong to Kosovo, but nothing was done about this afterwards.
