Kosovo Deputy Minister of Defence, Burim Ramadani, has hosted on Thursday German Ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt.
Ramadani said that they discussed with the German Ambassador on further cooperation on security and defence. “Honour to welcome today the German Ambassador, Christian Heldt. Kosovo and Germany have excellent relations in security and defence. I assured Ambassador that we remain committed to deepen our mutual relations,” Ramadani wrote in a Facebook post.
This is the first visit of the German Ambassador at the Ministry of Defence after the Parliament of Kosovo voted a package of laws on transition of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into an army transforming the Ministry of KSF into Ministry of Defence. Germany has supported creation of Kosovo Army, saying that this is a legitimate right of a country.
