Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has not mentioned the land swap idea following a meeting with Kosovo’s Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj who is openly criticising the proposal. Kurz who is visiting Kosovo today, in a joint press conference with President Hashim Thaci, said that Austria will accept exchange of territory and correction of border between Kosovo and Serbia.
Austria’s chancellor, Sebastian Kurz is paying an official visit to Pristina, a day after visiting Belgrade. Kurz met the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, and after the meeting none of them were willing to address media. He only stated that he supports dialogue with Serbia, Gazeta Express reports. “We strongly support the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia,” Kurz said noting that dialogue is key issue to country’s membership into the EU.
Ahead of meeting with Haradinaj, Kurz met President Hashim Thaci and stated that that they discussed on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue facilitated by the EU and the idea on correction of border, Gazeta Express reports. Kurz said that Austria will accept any agreement reached between the two countries, without excluding correction of border or land swap. He made similar statements while in Belgrade, during a joint press conference with Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic. /Gazeta Express/
