Donald Trump has expressed optimism that the war with Iran "will end" and that the Strait of Hormuz will be "open to all" if Iran accepts the US proposal for a ceasefire.
But he also vowed that the US would resume the bombing campaign "at a much higher level and intensity" than before if Iran does not accept the terms that appear to have already been agreed.
In a post on Truth Social, the US president said:
“Assuming Iran agrees to deliver what was agreed upon, which is probably a big assumption, the legendary Epic Fury will end, and the very effective blockade will allow the Strait of Hormuz to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran. If they do not agree, the bombing will begin and, unfortunately, will be at a much higher level and intensity than before. Thank you for your attention to this issue!”
