British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves has described the US-Israeli war with Iran as a "mistake", adding that she is "not convinced" that it has made the world a safer place, the BBC reported, Gazeta Express reports.
Reeves made these comments during a speech at an event organized by the American news channel CNBC in Washington.
"The question is not whether or not you like the Iranian regime - I don't like the Iranian regime at all - but how to achieve the change you want to achieve," she says.
"There was an open diplomatic channel, conversations, official discussions taking place."
She adds that it was a "mistake" to end these discussions "and enter into conflict, because I am not convinced that we are any safer today than we were a few weeks ago."
