Ukraine's Defense Ministry has stated that Starlink satellite internet terminals used by Russia in Ukraine have been disrupted, disrupting Russian military communications.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said SpaceX is working with Ukraine to update a list of approved and verified Starlink terminals, while unapproved Russian systems have been blocked.

"The Starlink terminals added to the 'white list' are operational. The Russian terminals have already been blocked," Fedorov said in a statement.

"We continue to verify Starlink terminals. The first group of terminals added to the 'white list' is now operational," he stressed.

A source at the General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces confirmed that all Russian Starlink air routes have been disrupted along the front line since Thursday evening local time.

Under US sanctions, Starlink cannot be sold or used by Russia. However, analysts and Ukrainian officials have warned that Russia is increasingly finding ways to exploit the system to its advantage.
